Legal Question in Business Law in Arizona

Rights of cancellation for health club contracts

My boyfriend and i signed a contract for a health club membership. we have been members for two years, paying by electronic funds transfer every month. In the two years we have been members, we have each attended this health club less than 10 times each. Our lifestyle has changed and we are no longer in need of this service. Is there any way of getting out of this contract?

Re: Rights cancellation health club contracts

Stop paying them! Notify them and the payor (your bank)

both!

Are you trying to get money back for the period passed when you

had access and availability but didn't make much use of it? I don't

see how, myself, but there might be some other law locally that helps

you out. I'm not familiar with your state laws at all.

Lifestyle changes? Are you getting fat?

My wife once paid $600 for a 4 year club membership, then found

out the club alternated between days for men and days for women,

then they folded within a year. (Then the place was opened up under

new management.) She must have gone 4 times in all. At $150/visit,

it was expensive.
