In Arizona by statute, the liability of a marital community for premarital debts is limited to the debtor spouses contribution to the community. A.R.S. 25-215(B). Applying that to your question, the judgment against you would not be collectible against your future husband separate assets or his assets that he contributes to the marriage. However, if you contribute assets to the marriage, the creditor would be able to try and get those assets. Whether or not the creditor will actually be able to attach or get those assets is a more complicated question that requires a more detailed understanding of the facts.
