Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona
contracting without a license, but a licensed contractor
I am a commercial contractor in the state of arizona. I have been brought up on charges of contracting without a license. I put in several residential jobs, and am being charges with contracting without a license. I can build the garden center at walmart, however, I am not qualified to put in a set of double drive gates at your home. How can I be charged the same as a person, purposely taking homeowners money without any intent to finish the job? If I am a licensed contractor, how can criminal charges be filed on me when I am licensed? Why is there no difference in the way this matter is treated?

May have been working outside the scope of your license. If you were not. You have a defense to the charge of contracting without a license.
