child moving

i am getting remarried,i have joint custody of my child we want to move 2 hours away, still in state of arizona. can my childs dad stop this?

Yes. He can attempt to prohibit the relocation.

If the move is more than 100 miles, even if not outside the state, you must follow special procedures before you attempt to relocate.

However, even if the move is less than 100 miles, Father can claim that the 2 hour difference creates a substantial change which requires a change in custody or a prohibition against relocation.

You can, of course, fight for the move and argue that the move is in the child's best interests after consideration of all relevant factors.
