Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

my daughter lives with her father 100+ miles away, he has raised her for 9 years, she is 12 now, my daughter is staying with me for the summer. my daughter says she isnt happy living with her father, and wants to come live with with me. we were never married and there are no court papers on custody or anything, what can i do to get custody of my daughter?

It is difficult to answer this question without knowing more about how well you and the father get along with each other. If you think he'd be receptive, you might speak with him to see if he'd be willing to let her stay with you on a trial basis. If he declines or if you don't feel comfortable approaching him, I recommend you consult with an attorney who can discuss the situation with you and help you decide your best course of action.
