spousal support

married 11 years/8 mos. i left our home of 7 years/ i am a homemaker...house is only in his name...i did not have an income....i obviously got a full time job now...i make 2200.00 mo/ he makes 10,500.00 mo..he has retirement funds as well....what approx. amount should i even ponder getting....no kids/no child support and we will put the house up for sale this summer....of which, will i get 1/2 of that even though he is paying the mortgage...we already split the bills...i have not even filed for a seperation...i was hopeing for a miracle....oh...and he has had domestic violence charges within our family, me and some of our children....thats why i left...i have to go back to school in order to be able to support my 2 remaining kids at home..i stayed home and raised his children as well as my own, since 1993...i hope this helps....thank you so much

Ms. DOnaldson did not respond to your inquiry. If you are asking whether you are eligible for spousal maintenance, it appears based on the facts you provide that you are eligible. It is your burden of proof to show you do not have appropriate employment to sufficiently support yourself. Once you do, then the court will decide what amount is appropriate.
