Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Arizona

Reimbursement for gifts

My ex-boyfriend purchased airline tickets for us as a surprise before we split up. As it was a surprise, I had no idea of the dates and cannot go on the trip, anyway. He is demanding reimbursement. What's legal here? Do I have to pay??

Re: Reimbursement for gifts

No. It was a gift. It cannot be transformed into an obligation by a subsequent change in your relationship.
