extortion for money or they go to litigation

Can an attorney ask me for money on behalf of his clients who think they have been wronged and threaten to go to court if I do not pay them?

The answer is "yes", provided that the attorney has reason to believe that there is a justifiable basis for a lawsuit. If you believe the other side's claims are false or frivolous, or if the amount demanded is excessive, you should contact an attorney to help you resolve the matter out of court.

If you want a serious answer you will need to give some facts. You do not state the facts of the case. How does this apply to real estate? If someone has a cause of action against you they can sue for it. They can tell you that they will do so.

It appears you need to speak with an attorney so that all the facts can be evaluated.

Good luck.
