Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Arizona

Pregnancy Discremnation

I work with a lady that is pregnant and our boss has

really given her a bad time ever since she told him she was pregnant. We work for the State on government jobs and no one seems to care that he can get away with what he is doing. He even made comments as to "I would have never hired her if I knew she was going to get pregnant. He yells at her and mades rude comments, and gives her jobs to do even though she has dr notes saying she can not do them. What if any recourse does she have??? It is much more than that. That was making it short.

Re: Pregnancy Discremnation

This sounds like a pretty complicated situation. If she is excused from certain projects by a doctor than the employer is legal obligated not to ask her to perform them. If he is making derogatory remarks about her than it is harassment. I would need to speak with her and find out what the situation is exactly and find out what she wants changed. The initial consultation is free and she is under no obligation to retain my services. She can reach my office toll free at 877-546-9918 or by email at [email protected]. I hope I can help.

Sincerely,

John Hayes, Esq.
