Whether you would receive anything from her depends on whether she had a will, whether she mentioned you in such will, and whether her child that was your parent is still living.

Where did she live when she passed? Town and county. What type of inheriatnce was it? Was it property, such as land and house, bank account, or was it personal property?

It may be that you have an inheritance out there, but you need to act quickly.
