Legal Question in Family Law in Australia

My daughter has been divorced for 7 year. Settlement occurred that long ago. She has prime care of the two children and works part time. The husband pays the educational costs of the children, no support for her. Now he says the tax office is demanding he pay unpaid taxes on money earned while they were still married. I suspect the changes in tax laws has caught him eg plantations etc. He threatens legal action. He also said "I don't care if your parents have to sell their house, I want my money."

My question is-----------does he have a case? Should I suggest my daughter see legal agvice?

If the family law settlement was done properly through Family Court, then we can stop him from being a problem.
