In California, spousal support is based more on income than your expenses. The difference in your income compared to your spouse's income is most important factor in many cases. Other factors are considered such as how long you were married, your ability to support yourself, your education, work history, any child support orders, and the lifestyle you shared while married. If you meet with an attorney they will be able to give you a good idea about the amount of support, if any, that may be ordered in your case.
