Disability discriminatin referencing Maritime Law

What are ''overlapping remedies'' and can someone take advantage of both state and federal laws as an injured party.

I assume you are asking about on the job injuries. No, your employment is either covered under federal or state law but not both. Normally an overlapping remedy is one that provides a least some similar coverage as does another benefit program, but usually you must select one or the other but not collect under both.
