Legal Question in Disability Law in California

After getting an MRI done for my injury on the job in Hollywood Ca., I was informed by WC that my company dropped their insurance carrier 4 days prior to my being hurt. How am I able to get compensated for my days missed assuming the new insurance provider doesn't pick up my case?

Your WC attorney should be familiar with 1) how to contact the WCIRB to obtain definitive information on who, if anyone, insured your employer; and 2) if the employer was illegally uninsured, how to serve the employer with a special notice of lawsuit as a prerequisite to joining the Uninsured Employers Fund as a party to your case. Many WC attorneys do not know how, or want, to do uninsured cases, make sure yours does.
