I cannot advise you whether to give your notice to resign from your job because there are many variable factors that must be considered in making that decision. I would be irresponsible to give that kind of advise to an anonymous person on the internet.

As to your question, receiving state disability should not have anything to do with your employment status. Presumably, you are receiving state disability because you are unable to work due to your medical condition. As long as that continues, I do not see why you would not be eligible for up to one year. After that, you should be eligible for social security disability.
