Re: writ of execution

The time to fight the lawsuit was when you received it. Now, the case is over, and you lost. If this is really the first you've heard of the lawsuit against you, and you have a legal defense such as you don't owe the money or the debt was over 4 years old at the time the lawsuit was filed, and you act quickly, using the services of an attorney, you might possibly be able to have the writ of execution and the underlying judgment set aside.

If you did receive notice of the lawsuit, and you just blew it off, you can either pay or file for bankruptcy.
