writ of possesion

I am involved in a civil suit and they won an ex parte writ of possesion yet they have not showed up have long is the writ valid for as I do not want these people waiting for a year and then show up

You need to be more specific on the writ. Is it money they obtained the writ against? material? How much was the debt and what did it arise out of? The prejudgment writ of possession will last for at least six months. Once I know more, I'll be able to give you a more precise period. Good luck.
