Legal Question in Banking Law in California

Employer bouncing paychecks

I have cashed (3) paychecks by using a mobile money truck service that came to our business. Those checks bounced, now the mobile money service is demanding their money from us employees. Employer has made mobile money service many promises to pay them and never do. Can they legally collect a debt from us when we did not write the check ???

Re: Employer bouncing paychecks

No. They have to go after the employer, who issued the checks. Any attempts to collect from the employees would probably be against the law and might possibly give the employees cause to sue the check cashers.
