Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

I have 2 Legal Order, LTS L031611000404 in my Bank of America account, both show 0.00 balance today, i had around $600.

I am not in USA since 2009 May. I have moved to India. I was not served any notice or even if they did i did not know what the balance was and who i had to pay since i was not inside the country. How could this have happened withouth the bank notifying me via e-mail atleast.

was a judgement taken against me to freeze my account, will this cause any problems in my travel to USA in future or obtaining a visa or will this lead to any arrest on my arrival in USA, how can i obtain information about this. your advise and information is much appriciated.

Solely from what you write, it appears the bank has a judgment against you, and that it has levied your bank account. That's why it shows a zero balance. First the money goes to the sheriff's department, who will hold it for a time while you consider exempting it. After that, the money goes to the bank.

It should not affect your ability to travel. It might affect your ability to use a credit card from the same bank, and it could affect your ability to maintain bank accounts anywhere in the world if the bank is aggressive and learns of those accounts.

As for entry of judgment itself, it is likely that the bank either served an adult at your last known US address, or obtained a court order to publish the summons and complaint in a newspaper of record and thereafter mailed a copy to that address. That is considered proper service. You might want to index your name on the website of the court in the US county where you last lived to see if there are judgments against you, or have an investigator do so on your behalf.
