if i filed bk in april 2001, when can i file again?

If the case you filed in 2001 was a Chapter 7 and you received a discharge, you can file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy now or you could wait until after April 2009 to file another Chapter 7. If you see an attorney, make sure you disclose the prior bankruptcy case.

If the prior bankruptcy was a Chapter 13, you can file Chapter 7 now.
