Most debts seem to be dischargeable in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Some are not, including judgments for injuries or damages caused by driving under the influence, judgments for child support, those for intentional injuries or harm caused to another person or entity, or fraud.

Hello:
You will want to make certain that you list the debts in the proper schedules to get them discharged if they are dischargeable.

The underlying debt that would stem from the judgment is dischargeable subject to limitations listed above. Once you file your petition, the plaintiff must suspend the judicial proceeding due to the automatic stay order.
