Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

collection letter from debt not listed in chapter 7

Hi!

I just recieved a collection letter dated March 19 from a debt I was unaware of. I received my pro se chapter 7 discharge on April 15. Is there anything I can do to include this on my chapter 7? Is there a grace period? What do you suggest I do?

If the debt was incurred prior to the bankruptcy and the case was filed in California, I suggest that you send them a copy of the face of the petition, the discharge, and a letter that states that in California, unlisted debts in no asset cases are discharged.
