Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

I need to file CA backruptcy chapter 7. Unfortunately I do not have the extra to hire a local attorney. Are the online systems trustworthy?

I am not familiar with the online systems. There are self-help books that you might consider, such as those by Nolo Press. Of course, I would recommend retaining a lawyer, especially if a house or other real or valuable property is involved because it could get complicated.

An attorney is trustworthy because they have a duty to the client. Anything online is just a product with numerous disclaimers. Search the questions here and you might find disgruntled customers of whatever website you find. Buyer beware.
