Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

a collection agency has called , and said they are filing suit in my county for flex payments denied. i told them i was in process of filing bankruptcy, they told me tough we are still going after you, and for fraud too. what happens if they file before i meet with my attorney?

Nothing. When you file, they must stop the collections activity. If they get a judgment before you file, they could attach property you own, but that is usually easy to remove during the bankruptcy case.
