Whether you will get paid depends on the type of debt. If it is a secured debt, the debt will not be discharged in bankruptcy. If it is an unsecured debt, the debt would be subject to discharge in bankruptcy. You can object to the discharge if you believe and can prove that the obligation was fraudulently incurred.
