I don't know and I wasn't able to develop any information in a brief on-line session. I'll tell you what I would do, however, if I were running a business that wanted to certify typists. I'd call businesses that are already doing this, like temporary agencies, that are in another part of the state, so they wouldn't feel any competitive threat, and ask them how they got licensed to certify typists. I'll bet that five phone calls and thirty minutes of time will lead you to a lot of valuable information, some new business contacts, and maybe more. This general method of studying up on whether and how to enter a new business is quite useful and works well because business owners love to share their knowledge with others as long as they don't feel any competitive threat, due to distance, because they're planning to retire soon, or whatever. Also, no one is as expert as someone who's already in the business.
