If you're the maker of the power of attorney, record a rescission that is notarized.

Civil Code section 1216 covers this, and essentially says what Mr. Cohen has said. The statute uses the terms "revoke" and "revocation" rather than rescind or rescission. I suggest you locate and read the code section to get the specific requirements.
