Various Short Questions

1. Is it illegal to maintain an employee status (as a consultant), get paid $1 a year, for stock option benefits?

2. If so, can I apply for unemployment benefits while maintaining such employee/consultant status?

3. Software usually have a license page. Is it illegal (copyright infringement) if I copy the license and change the name? Do I need a lawyer to come up with a privacy/terms & condition document?

4. I wrote code for a company under contract and it belongs to the company. If I use the same algorithm to do a similar function in another company, will that violate anything? Is code copyrighted?

5. If I want to copy some information from restaurant[dot]com and give them the proper credits, based on their terms and conditions, is it lawful? I've tried to contact them for permissions, without success.

7. Because of the no discrimination policy for employers in America, if I want to create a company that only hire certain ethnicity, and only female because it's best for the company, how will I do so without being sued for discrimination?

8. If I create a website business, managed only by me and some friends, does it have to follow small business rules?
