I ask for the title and he said I still owed he filed suit and I filed as well. before the court date a police officer entered my business and said I had to give my car to the man I bought it from because he had the title and I owed him. I told the officer I had cancled checks and this was a civil matter and a court date comming up. I then got in my car and tried to get away but the tow truck and the man i bought the car from were outside. they dragged my car with me in it with the tires screaching and smooking for an hour the officer told me after they finally got my car on the tow truck that he was going to arrest me if i did not get out of my car. I felt so violated this was so wrong can you help ? It happened in California

Add false imprisonment, assault, and violation of the fair debt collection practices act to your lawsuit (or file a separate lawsuit). And don''t ever buy a used car again except cash on the barrel head with you getting the signed pink slip and smog certificate in exchange. Good luck in court.
