I am trying to recover my engagement ring back plus all my property.she call the police the last time I went over there to get my stuff. police said the next time I come over to get my stuff call the police first. How can I go about it to get my rinf and other stuff

I would do what the police suggest and call them first. As for getting the ring back, in California the guy gets it back if the woman breaks the engagement or if the marriage was called off by mutual consent. California Civil Code 1590 deals with this situation, and I believe that a few cases also elaborate.
