Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

civil law

i have va friend who recently bought a home. asked me to move in as a roomate, then reneged on the deal after i helped her move for 18+ hours, do some repairs on the house, and i also bought a bed and dresser that i'm sure are ruined by her 70+ cats and now have no place for since i have no place to live after giving notice at my present residence. i asked for compensation for the work and the items i bought but she has refused. what are my rights?

Re: civil law

70 cats should have put you on notice that your former roommate was coo-coo. Personally, my own crazy-people detector goes off whenever I encounter someone with more than, say, 20.

However, if you are willing to live with that many cats your roommate opportunities are boundless. Just go to Petco and look for the little old lady backing up her forklift for another pallet load of Meow Mix.
