Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

I am doing a Science Experiment, that requires us to set things on fire. This things will be small, and have no threat of blowing up. We have designed a shack to keep the fire contained. We also have a sprinkler, fire extinguisher, water, etc. I Live in California, and i was wondering if someone can tell me any laws that i need to know to execute these experiments legally and safely. Thanks

You should contact your local fire department and city hall. You are not going to get near enough information in this forum to properly proceed.
