email hacking

My soon to be exhusband apparently discovered my email account and password. He has been accessing my yahoo account and reading my mail. Is this illegal?

If you never gave permission for him to use or view your email, he may be in violation of federal and/or state law. Do you know how he got your password? Are you currently represented by counsel? Does your attorney know of California Penal Code section 502 and 18 U.S.C. 2701?
