Legal Question in Technology Law in California

I had a girlfriend who was insecure and didnt trust me. One day I used her computer to login to my hotmail and facebook account. Even though I completely logged out, she had something on her computer that allowed her to bring back up my accounts. She has read email messages, changed the passwords and has deleted emails. Isnt this against the law for someone to access your account without my permission

Yes. You can ask the local prosecutor to charge her with illegal access to your computer data (there are different varieties of this crime; the appropriate charge(s) will depend upon what she did). You can also sue her civilly, though it is not clear either that your injuries justify a suit or that she could afford to pay any damages you might be awarded.
