Legal Question in Construction Law in California

I am subcontracted that was hired by a sub cont. for a major home builder in my contract with the sub contractor it says I get paid 60 to 90 after date of invoice so work done say 8/1 would be on invoice dated 9/1 and wouldn't get paid until 12/1 my question is this legal because I was told 45 days when hired and I worked 5 months without a contracrt

Your question does not make any sense. Your first state you have a contract and then you say you worked without one for five months. Regardless, there are certain statutes which require a contractor to pay you within so many days of receipt of money from the owner.
