Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

What action do I need to take when I recieved the letters from law firm (in my case, Hunt & Henriques Attorneys At Law from San Jose, CA) for the memorandum of costs:

a) clerk's filling fees $205.00,

b) process server's fees $59.00,

e )total $264.00.

that based on the fee of debt collection for CitiBank (South Dakota) which I believe my case is a stolen identity theft?

Note: I did called Citibank and they told me no account under my name or my social security number. I demanded H&H for discovery legal form but they won't give it to me. When the secretary of H&H verified my personal information I found out H&H got my social security number incorrect.

I hope anyone can help me. I am very appreciate it.

If you got a memorandum of costs you are WAY late in dealing with this. That generally means you have already lost the lawsuit and they have a judgment against you. You need to see a lawyer in person NOW and bring any and all papers you have received that have anything to do with the case.

The memorandum of costs - sounds like they are requesting a default judgment. You need to contact an attorney asap. check out the National Association of Consumer Advocates and find an attorney in your area. If, in fact, you are a victim of identity theft then an attorney can help you, and get paid for it, under California ID Theft Statute.

Please act soon.

The case is over, and you lost. You should have consulted an attorney back when you received the summons. If you never received a summons, and you have a valid defense to the credit card lawsuit, see an attorney.
