airline retroactively raising the price of a ticket

Are there any prohibitions against an airline retroactively raising the price of a ticket after it is purchased? If so, what are they? Thank you.

Unless the contract allows it, the price cannot be raised. However, if there were fligh changes between the time you bought and your flight, then you may be liable.
