Can't get my mechanic to fix a problem he caused

In December 1999 I bought an used car (1964 Pontiac in

what appeared to be very good condition) from my

mechanic. He gave me the car and asked me to bring it

back in a few weeks so he could repair a hose - but

the hose burst and caused problems that lead to engine

failure. He took the car back in mid-January and said

he would fix it, and has been promising to fix it

since, as well as come up with a bunch of excuses why

he hasn't.

I've been calling relentlessly but the car is still

sitting on the street. What are my rights in thi

Warn him that you will take him to small claims court. Give him a couple of weeks maximum to get the job done. Then if he does not get the car fixed sue him.
