Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

I have a title pawn loan on my car. I borrowed $2700 I have made 9 payments totaling $3100. I plan on paying it off the first week of August and I was told my payoff is $2900. How is that possible? No money that I have paid has gone toward the balance; is that legal?

Read your loan agreement. You may also contact the Atty General's office for possible consumer fraud investigation.
