Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Unemployed

I was working @ a job for almost to 2yrs and I quit that job because I was guaranteed another job @ a different company that I was surposed to start three weeks ago. Now I was told that job is put on hold because of budget cuts. The company knows that I have quit my other job, so now I am unemployed this isn't fair to me. Do I have a case.

If you believe they knew they would have cuts when they hired you, then you might have a case for misrepresentation. I would suggestion you try to locate a new job, in the meantime. Also, you can file for unemployment compensation -- although it probably won't come anywhere near matching what you were making at your old job. Good luck to you.
