Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I sent a cease and desist letter to RJM Acquisitions also stating that I do not owe them what they claim, however, they continue to apply key derogatory marks on my credit report. This was nearly a year ago that I sent a certified letter with return receipt. What can I do to stop them? Thank you.

Another step in the process is to dispute the debt with the credit bureaus - this will force the bureaus to reinvestigate the allefged debt. There are many good sites that have sample letters you can work from.

Or you could contact an attorney and (s)he would assist you in draftign the letter.

If the derrogatory remains after that you may have to file suit to have the erroneous information removed.

Good luck
