I was injured and was subsequently retired. During this time we became deliquent on our credit card account (non secred loans) What is the stature of limitations for the creditors to collect

Usually 4 years from the date of last payment. However, there is no statute of limitations on judgments (if timely renewed). So you may want to have a consult with an attorney regarding your options.
