Re: Freezing of accounts??

There are several issues: did you permit your son to use your card? Did he steal the card from you? Did he apply for the card on his own? You should make an appointment with a lawyer in your city and get some legal assistance before more bad things happen. Don't put the attorney's service on that credit card, though.

Re: Freezing of accounts??

Those are just threats. A lot has to happen first before they can freeze your account. They have to sue you, get a judgment and then garnish your bank account. You need to challenge this with the credit card company, send in an affidavit that it is not your account - they will try to pressure you to say whose it is - that is not your problem or your burden. You need to dispute it and allege identity theft. Notify the credit card company, any collection agency trying to collect it, all credit reporting agencies and demand that this report be deleted from your credit report.
