If at least 25% of your check is being taken out to pay child support, then your creditors cannot take anything out of your check, until you are done paying support. Even if your check was first garnished by the creditor, the child support would trump it. So, if you can not file bankruptcy because of the new laws, just have the other parent of your child get a child support order! Better to pay it to support your children than to a creditor, I suppose.
