Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Hello my name is Lidia and I'm being sued by CACH, LLC. Their suing me in civil court for 3,800.00 dollars. My original credit limit wasn't even this much it has been inflated. I owed the original creditor Bank of America about 2,500.00. I really don't know where to begin so I would really appreciate your help. Thank you for your time and I look forward to your response.

The first thing is not to ignore the lawsuit. If you do, the plaintiff can and will obtain a default judgment against you, which could add 10 percent interest per year. Once you file your responsive pleading within 30 days of receiving the summons and complaint, you can either retain an attorney or attempt to negotiate with the plaintiff's attorney to reduce the amount demanded and make payment arrangements. You might also look at other financial alternatives, including bankruptcy.
