Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

i live in california and recieve disability from a private insurance company I paid into. I was wrongfully terminated and lost the lawsuit. My only income is my disability insurance. can the court garnish my disability to pay for the judgement on the attorney fees that i owe the other parties? if so how much can they garnish?

Disability insurance benefits are exempt from garnishment. California Code of Civil Procedure 704.130. If the money is in your bank account and the account is levied upon, however, you will need to take steps to claim the exemption and prevent the money from being taken from you.
