Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I have been served a SUM-100 (superior court of San Francisco) in an unlimited civil case. I must respond today, but I cannot figure out what form to use. I may need an attorney down the road to resolve this issue, but I need to file a form asap.

You were served a Summons? Were you also served a Complaint? If the answer to the complaint is due today, you can go on the SF Court website and search for forms. There is a form answer to a complaint.

However, before doing anything, you should consult with an attorney to see if you even need to file an answer or if you have some other remedy.

I am available for consult. Please feel free to call me at (925) 362-1725.

The SF courts website is a poor choice to find the form you need. Mr. Jordan is correct, however, that it is impossible to tell which form without knowing what the Complaint that was served with the Summons says and what the case is about.
