Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

out of state judgement

Ok here goes we live in Tucson AZ

and have since 4/2004 In 2005 a company bought a debt against my husband, they served the wrong person, no one we knew and the address was 4 years old then, they ran the suit throught the CA court system which granted the judgment, and then they moved it here to AZ. Now the last date of activity on the account is 3/2001 and I can prove that we lived in AZ not CA. Is this a valid judgement?

Re: out of state judgement

You can challenge the sister state judgment in Arizona based upon the errors you point out. It's best if you consult a local attorney familiar with the AZ process.
