What is the statue of limitations in California for a debt collector to collect a debt a debt collector attiorney to collect on a debt I am being harassed by a debt colection attorney at least 2 times a week I am within my rights to file a state bar compliant against the attorney for harassement and sue them The debt is 15 years old

The statute of limitations is generally 4 years (could be 2 years under some circumstances). However, there are a lot of exceptions to the general rule. For instance, when was the last time you made a payment on the debt? When the attorney contacts you, do you acknowledge that the debt is owed?
