Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I am currently being sued by a creditor law office who's client is Discover Card i was first being sued by a company called Mann Bracken i had agreed to settle with them but they refused and decided to sent me to court, they couldnt prove anything so it was dismissed without prejudice.Soon after that i guess Discover changed creditors and now CIR Law offices are trying to collect the debt even after i have sent them numerous letters stating that even though the debt is not mine i am willing to pay half of what it is and they refuse to answer any of my letter. what should i do next? im trying to rebuild my credit and this is weighing me down.

Mann Bracken is out of business. CIR is the replacement law firm that is handling much of what Mann Bracken did (and in many cases in the same manner).

You need an attorney - if the debt is not yours, and you can prove it, there are many good attorneys that will take the case on a flat rate. If you cannot find one check out www,naca.net. Call my office on Monday morning for a free consultation.

Good luck
